The education department of the ruling party Congress has drawn the attention of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to regulate the educational consultancy sector.

Head of the department and central member Nainsingh Mahar drew the attention of Education Minister Raghuji Pant and asked the government to be active in the regulation of educational counseling. He said that the government has been requested to publish 10-point proposals for the reform of the educational counseling sector. He said that the consulting sector should be promoted as a partner to make Nepal an international educational hub. It has been proposed to bring legal and policy clarity by regulating the

consulting business . It has been suggested that scholarship quota should be arranged to attract foreign students, international student visa policy should be implemented soon. The government has been criticized for the fact that consultancies are operating without registration in the name of educational consultancy. The Congress Education Department has demanded that action should be taken against consulting organizations that are operating without registration or license as per the Companies Act, control of those who send abroad only through online, bond and regular monitoring should be arranged to prevent fraud and irregularities.

It is mentioned that arrangements should be made to send students who are going to study abroad to universities that meet the minimum standards. It has been demanded that action should be taken according to the policy of zero tolerance against consulting organizations involved in making fake documents and illegal financial transactions, including fake marriages.
