Two teachers have been on a relay hunger strike for the past three days in the hands of the Gaumati Model Mavi at the headquarter as a result of being transferred. The teachers on relay fast are Bishnu Prasad Phuyal and Shankar Prasad Dhakal. They were transferred from Gaumati Mavi to Kamala and Janjyoti Mavi in the headquarters.
The education committee had transferred Phuyalko, who is also the president of Sindhuli Teachers Federation, to Kamala Mavi Dhungrebas, the school where he had studied. Phuyal Kamala, who has been teaching in Gaumati for 11 years, is also a house teacher. Phuyal says that he started a hunger strike for justice because he was the president of the teachers' federation and was transferred without even asking. Dhakal's position is that there is extreme irregularity and disorder in Gaumati Model High School and he will not go to the transferred school until it ends.
