A week ago, Kamalamai Municipal Education Committee transferred 15 teachers. 13 teachers have already appeared in the designated schools with Ramana. Two teachers have been on a relay hunger strike for the past three days in the hands of the Gaumati Model Mavi at the headquarter as a result of being transferred. The teachers on relay fast are Bishnu Prasad Phuyal and Shankar Prasad Dhakal. They were transferred from Gaumati Mavi to Kamala and Janjyoti Mavi in the headquarters.

The education committee had transferred Phuyalko, who is also the president of Sindhuli Teachers Federation, to Kamala Mavi Dhungrebas, the school where he had studied. Phuyal Kamala, who has been teaching in Gaumati for 11 years, is also a house teacher. Phuyal says that he started a hunger strike for justice because he was the president of the teachers' federation and was transferred without even asking. The two teachers are demanding that the teacher of Gaumati Mavi be retaliated against, the situation in the school should end, and the fear, terror and threats from the school management committee should end and a clean educational environment should be created. Teachers' unions and organizations have not officially supported their hunger strike. Teacher Fuyal alleges that he faced the wrath of being transferred when he raised his voice for the end of rampant irregularities and arbitrariness in the school.

Dhakal's position is that there is extreme irregularity and disorder in Gaumati Model High School and he will not go to the transferred school until it ends.

The meeting of the city education committee held with the representatives of the teachers' union organization has been moved by the rules, so the head of the education branch, Navraj Baral, has suggested them to leave the hunger strike and attend the respective schools.

Mayor Upendra Pokharel insisted that no teacher was transferred due to discrimination.
