A joint meeting of 12 student organizations regarding the Student Friendly Education Act and the SWA elections was held in Kathmandu on Monday.

A joint meeting of major student organizations of Nepal was held at the central office of the Nepal Student Union in Anamnagar under the coordination of the central president of the union, Dujang Sherpa. Presidents, coordinators and representatives of 12 major student organizations were present in the meeting. In the

meeting, a common opinion was created by intensively discussing various contemporary issues related to the education sector . In particular, the meeting came to a clear conclusion on the immediate issue of the Student Friendly School Education Act and the need to conduct a phased campaign to ensure self-reliance elections in universities other than Tribhuvan University.

In addition, the meeting has been concluded with the commitment to conduct necessary cooperation, struggle and pressure programs in the near future for the protection of student interests and rights, Chairman Sherpa said.
