Tribhuvan University Institute of Science and Technology Studies has banned the admission of students in 4 colleges in the academic year 2082/083.

According to the Dean's office, students are not allowed to be admitted in Food Technology in Birat Multiple College Biratnagar, Dharan Multiple Campus Dharan, Nilgiri College Sunsari and Nagarak College Napalparasi. Action has been taken against this college for voluntarily admitting students who did not participate in the entrance examination against the rules in the academic year 081/082.

According to the Dean's office, admissions to privately run colleges have been stopped after the meeting of the Vidya Parishad Standing Committee of the Institute of Studies. There is a system for admitting students only on the basis of merit by conducting an entrance exam in the said subject. According to the Dean's Office, this college disobeyed the rules by enrolling students who did not participate in the examination conducted by the Institute against the rules of the University.
