Beas Municipality of the district has distributed scholarships worth 1.8 million rupees in the financial year 2081/082. A scholarship amount of 18 lakh 48 thousand 500 rupees has been distributed to the poor and poor students who are in poor financial condition to get higher education.
Kashiram Gayre, the chief administrative officer of Beas Municipality, said that the municipality has created an environment for achieving higher education by providing scholarship money to 206 students. He said, "The municipality has provided scholarships to 39 students above class 12 at the rate of 11,000 rupees and to 167 students from class 9 to 12 at the rate of 8,500 rupees."
Similarly, the municipality said that the educational quality measurement was done by conducting the exams of class 5 and 8. On the occasion of National Education Day 2081, 49 and 12 outstanding students were awarded and honored as the best schools, best teachers, long serving teachers, retired teachers. On the occasion of National Children's Day 2081, various inter-school competitions were conducted and the best four students were awarded.
He said that 23 quotas of subject teachers at the secondary and basic level have been filled with the federal teaching and learning support grant, and teaching work has been conducted by managing maternity substitute teachers in place of 13 teachers who are on maternity leave.
Municipality has created and implemented local curriculum and has been conducting educational programs in schools based on the creation of an educational calendar.
