Integrated curriculum training has been conducted for teachers teaching in classes 1-3. With the technical support of Room to Read, Walling Municipality of Syangja conducted a 10-day intensive training on integrated curriculum.
The training conducted with the aim of bringing about qualitative improvement in education was attended by teachers who teach classes 1-3 of 61 community schools in the city. The training has been organized in two stages from June 5.
Municipal Deputy Chief Kavita Tiwari Gayre said that the municipality has put forward a plan to add new programs for educational reform. Tiwari told to distribute clothes to community school students, conduct yoga practice in every school and conduct educational activities like institutions in community schools to bring uniformity in clothing. Stating that the
room tour program is very effective, Deputy Principal Tiwari said that in the future, the students of classes 1-3 will develop the habit of reading not only Nepali but also English subjects clearly and cleanly.
Room to Read conducted a program in 20 public schools in Walling City last year. Due to the development of reading habits among students and the improvement of Nepali pronunciation, the Room to Read program has been conducted in 20 more schools this year.
Education Officer Durga Neupane said that the technical support of room tour in the training related to the integrated curriculum will assist teachers in new teaching methods, active participation of students and development of learning strategies according to the objectives of the curriculum.
