Zero pass percentage in law, information technology, computer application, history etc
When the Tribhuvan University Service Commission asked for 275 deputy professors in various departments, only 91 permanent posts were filled.
Administrative Head Bishnu Aryal said that only 33 percent of applicants passed the exam conducted by the Commission.
"In some subjects more than the required number of candidates have passed," he said, "in some subjects, the position will remain vacant after not passing the written test as per the required number." 91 people have passed the written exam conducted with the participation of Public Service Commission, while 184 posts are going to be vacant.
The pass percentage is zero in Law, Information Technology, Computer Application, History, Sports Science, Counseling Psychology, Hindi, Economics Education, History Education, Population Education, Maithili and Science Education.
According to the statistics provided by the Service Commission, when 22 deputy professors were requested in law, not one passed. 30 people participated in the written test. 2 people in history, 2 assistant professors in computer application, but the number of passes remained zero.
The required number of posts have not been filled even in cases where applications have been called for filling up a large number of posts. According to the statistics of the commission, only 5 candidates passed the advertisement for 75 associate professors under the Faculty of Management.
7 out of 25 applicants for English subject, 12 out of 15 assistant professors in Economics, 12 out of 14 applicants in English Education, 11 out of 12 applicants in Sociology have succeeded in the written exam. When advertisement was called for 8 candidates in mathematics education, 2 candidates passed, only 1 out of 8 posts in public administration, 3 out of 8 posts in Nepali education passed. The Service Commission has announced the results of the advertisement published in 2077/078.
