Madhesh Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has said that the local level should take the lead in improving the education conditions at the school level.
"Manpower from Madhesh used to lead the education, health and technical sectors in other districts, but now the education situation in Madhesh has become critical," Chief Minister Singh said, "Districts of Madhesh are illiterate." The community school branch is in crisis when parents and school teachers think that their responsibilities have been fulfilled after joining government schools. The school level education has been affected by the tradition of shirking responsibility by pointing at each other. Due to the negligence of teachers and parents, school level students have fallen into drug addiction, said Chief Minister Singh.
Addressing the 16th Municipal Assembly of Aurhi Municipality of Mahottari on Tuesday, Chief Minister Singh said that the local level will prove to be rich if education is improved. "The main responsibility of improving school education is on the shoulders of teachers," he said, "The time has come to improve the level of education and the drug addiction that has spread at the school level."
Singh emphasized that the head, deputy head and administrative officer of the local level should monitor the study of public schools and the legitimacy of private schools. In the Municipal Assembly of Aurhi Municipality, Municipal Chief Pradeep Kumar Khadka has presented a budget of 45 crore 27 lakh 77 thousand for the financial year 2082/83.
