Two basic schools under Beni municipality have been closed due to lack of enrollment. Jaganthan Basic School located in Beni Municipality-5 Gajane and ward no. Okhle Basic School located at 10 was closed due to lack of students.
Beni municipality said that these schools were closed after there were no students. In these schools, in the last academic session, there were no students in classes 1-3, and only children's classes were brought into operation.

Municipality has transferred the teachers and assistants of Jagannath Awika to the neighboring Dimb Aadhar Bhut School and the teaching staff of Okhle Awika to Deepak Mavi after the closure of the school. After the closure of the school, the investment made in facilities like buildings, internet, drinking water, and toilets have also been wasted.
After the decrease in the number of students, 11 schools were adjusted (reduced) in the academic session 079 and seven schools in 080. According to Mayor KC, the number of students in the schools of the headquarters has been decreasing continuously since the last decade.
