IEC College of Art and Fashion's 14th Interior Design Exhibition

IEC College of Art and Fashion has started the 14th Interior Design Exhibition.

The students exhibited various designs and models in the event held at the Marriott Hotel in Kathmandu on Saturday. Shailaja Adhikari, managing director of the college, said that the program was organized with the aim of making the youth excel in interior and designing fields. She said that she is working together with Lincoln University in Malaysia and will soon bring a master's degree course in collaboration with Britain.  In the

program, Mitharam Adhikari, Mayor of Budhanilkanth Municipality, said that IEC has worked harder than other campuses. "These kinds of programs are appreciated abroad, but in our country, the youth are not encouraged," he said. Budhanilkanth municipality will support such programs in the coming days, said the mayor official. He said that it is a matter of sadness that the tendency of young people to go abroad and not return to their country is increasing.

Mr. Nepal 2024 winner Santosh Loksom Limbu said that the design and architecture done by Nepalese students should be known to the international arena. He emphasized that art should be respected from all sides.  Managing Director Adhikari informed that there are 65 stalls in the

exhibition. Modern architecture such as paper goods, smart furniture, cinematic theater, hotels, LGBTQ homes were showcased.
