The board meeting held on Tuesday morning asked the teachers to participate in the examination and decided to conduct the examination with the help of the staff if they do not participate. After the decision was widely criticized, Board Chairman Mahashram Sharma and Education Secretary Deepak Kafle approached Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Baluwatar. At that time, the Prime Minister had instructed to postpone the exam for a few days. Soon after, the board decided to postpone the exam for 10 days.
The Nepal Teachers' Federation, which has been protesting for 21 days, called the central president, principal, teachers and school staff to boycott the examination and participate in the protest.
Since March 20, while the teachers have continued their agitation centered on Kathmandu, the examination was thrown into confusion after Education Minister Bidya Bhattarai resigned on Monday.
