Prakriti Pangeni of the CPN-S student organization Aneraswaviyu was unanimously elected as the president of the Independent Student Union at the Arun Khola Multiple Campus in the Madhyabindu Municipality of East Nawalparasi. Swaviyu elections were conducted with the agreement of student organizations.
Election coordinator Ram Prasad Adhikari said that Anita Darai, members Nimisa Darai, Thanisara Vayambu, Ganisara Ale (directly) and Siddaka Basnet, Sushma Nepali, Nira Gaha Magar were elected as treasurers. Secretary and two members will be announced later.
The election on Chait 5th was postponed due to lockdown and hunger strike in the campuses of the district during the Swabiyu elections. According to the consensus among student organizations to select the committee unanimously, work is being done now. Aneraswaviyu Gandaki Province President Thakur Parajuli said that the public association has been requested to ensure elections in other campuses of the district.
