The Swaviyu (Independent Students' Union) elections held in Bhojpur, the home district of former President Bidya Devi Bhandari, have shaken the student organizations close to the ruling party Congress and UML. In the Swaviyu elections held on Tuesday, Akhil Revolutionaries, near the Maoist center, registered a historic and sensational victory in the said campus.

Suraj Rai of Navy Sangh has been elected as the president of Swaviyu of Kakdvitta multipurpose campus. Similarly, Alice Paudel of ANERASWWIU was elected as the secretary, while Riya Dhungana of the Navy Union was elected as the treasurer.

Similarly, the panel of ANERASWAVIU has been elected at Tridev Multipurpose Campus in Charali. Ishwar Rizal of ANERASWA was elected as the president, Dawa Tamang of ANERASWA as secretary and Vishwas Acharya was elected as treasurer.

Even though the Central Committee of the Navy Sangh said that he was the official candidate of Basnet Sangathan, Congress Jhapa said that the other candidate of the Navy Sangh, Sayan Sampang Rai, was official and asked Rai to vote.

Navy Union President Dujang Sherpa had issued two statements saying that Basnet is the official candidate. However, the Jhapa Congress did not consider Basnet as an official candidate because the Navysangh Damak Campus Unit Committee decided to make Rai a candidate. The joint panel of Aneraswawiyu and Navy Sangh has won in the elections of the Mahendra Ratna Multipurpose Campus in Elam. The panel including Vishal Karki of Aneraswaviyu has won the chairmanship.
