The counting of votes could not take place due to a dispute at the Gaurishankar campus

Independent Students' Union voted in Gourishankar Campus at Nijgarh in Bara, but the counting of votes has not been done. Chief Electoral Officer Govinda Prasad Adhikari said that the counting of votes could not be done since Tuesday night after a disagreement on who should be the counting representative for the counting of votes on behalf of the competing student organizations in the election.

He said that although a schedule was made for counting on Tuesday night, it was stopped due to disputes. There was a dispute between the student organizations on whether to have representatives from the party or only students at the counting place.

"Even though we tried to reach an agreement on Tuesday, it was not possible," he said, "now there is a discussion again." According to him, 368 voters voted in the election, but 333 people voted. Swaviyu elections were held for the first time at Gauri Shankar Campus, one of the seven community campuses of this district affiliated to Tribhuvan University.

80 percent of the 368 students in this campus are female. UML is close to Aneraswaviyu, Congress is close to Navy Sangh and All Revolutionary Organizations are close to Maoist.
