An independent candidate has won the presidentship of Western Engineering Campus

Prakash Dhami, an independent candidate, has won in the Independent Student Union (SWAVIU) of the Institute of Engineering Studies (Western Campus). Dhami was elected president after defeating the candidates of Aneraswaviyu, Navy Sangh and Akhil (Revolutionary).

According to the final public vote results on Wednesday, Dhami defeated the closest competitor Anup Neupane of Aneraswaviyu by 267 votes. Dhami got 716 votes and Neupane got 449 votes. Election Officer Deepak Thapa informed that Sougat Pandit of Navy Sangh got 346 votes, Adarsh ​​Mahat Chhetri of Akhil (Revolutionary) got 178 votes.

Darchula's Dhami Netravikram Chand Biplavanikat Akhil (Socialist) supported candidate. His background is Akhil (Revolutionary). Dhami was the campus committee secretary of Krantikari. After failing to become the president, he left the revolutionary and chose Akhil (socialist). 

Secretary and Treasurer Akhil (Revolutionary) has won . Harikrishna Khadka of Akhil (revolutionary) was elected secretary by getting 921 votes. Vinayak Bhuwaji of Aneraswaviyu got 744 votes. The nomination of the Secretary of the Navy was rejected when the ballot paper was torn due to internal disputes. 

Sashish Sapkota of Krantikari was elected treasurer with 699 votes. Election Officer Thapa informed that Rohit Kumar Sah of Aneraswaviyu got 587 votes and Rasmit Kumari Jha of Navy Sangh got 366 votes.

According to the final voting results, Aneraswaviyu won 5 members, Navy Sangh and Krantikari won 1/1 member . Ashrant Pahari of Aneraswaviyu 926, Purnima Achami 815, Ankit Gayre 771, Amrit Basnet 740, Rupesh Paudel 622, Saksham Bhandari of Navy Sangh 733 and Nikita Pathak of Krantikari were elected as members with 682 votes.  There were 2 thousand 41 voters in that campus and 1 thousand 692 votes were cast in the election held on Tuesday.
