In the elections held on Tuesday at the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science Studies (Lamjung Campus) in Sundarbazar, the New Union Panchayat won.
Defeating the coalition of Aneraswaviyu and Akhil (revolutionaries), the Navy won the panel. There were 473 voters in that campus and 100 percent votes were cast.
Asim Basti of Navy Sangh defeated Anusha Pariyar of Aneraswawiyu by 18 votes and became the president of Swawiyu. Nevisangha's Basti got 245 votes while Aneraswaviyuki's Pariyar got 227 votes.
Vivek Singh of Navy Sangh won with 241 votes. His opponent Kristi Sapkota of Akhil (Revolutionary) got 230 votes. Hemnarayan Rasaili of the Navy won the treasurer with 244 votes. His nearest rival Naveen Kumar Yadav of Aneraswaviyu got 225 votes.
Similarly, Afzal Ansari of Navy Sangh, Archie Pathak, Avasar Adhikari, Gautam of AYUSH and Vivika Thapamgar won among the members.
