The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has warned that action will be taken according to the law if they act against the code of conduct in the election of the Independent Student Union of Tribhuvan University.
Stating that the Ministry of Education is committed to take action according to the prevailing law, the relevant ministries and agencies have also been requested to take necessary action against anyone who violates the code of conduct.
Joint Secretary Shivkumar Sapkota, the spokesperson of the ministry, issued a statement on Sunday and requested the stakeholders to conduct the election on the specified date and follow the code of conduct. "The Ministry of Education has drawn attention to the news that the public structures of universities and campuses have been vandalized before the elections, and various threats have been made to the officials of the Election Committee," the statement said.
