The Nepal Teachers' Union is going to protest again with pressure for the promulgation of the Education Act from the current winter session of the Parliament. Central president Lakshmi Kishor Subedi said that the federation will bring more than one lakh teachers to the Kathmandu-centered movement.
Inaugurating the 43rd Representative Assembly of Nepal Teachers' Association Baglung on Friday, Subedi pointed out the need to solve the problems of 17 types of teachers across the country by bringing forward-looking legislation. He commented that there was a problem in the transfer, promotion and service facilities of teachers when the Federal Education Act did not come. He warned that the government has neglected to bring the Education Act considering the agreements as weak.
He said that many problems have been added when trying to work with the Federal Education Act that came in 2028.
