The campaign was launched from 17 schools in the province. Sarada Basyal, senior deputy secretary of the ministry, said that it is necessary to further increase trust and confidence in community schools, which have become the choice of 71 percent of children.
To maintain the integrity and dignity of public schools, to increase the accountability of all stakeholders towards public schools, the provincial government's policy program included the My School My Responsibility social campaign. The aim of the campaign is to improve the educational quality of community schools. It is believed that this campaign, which was started for improvement after the poor results of SEE last year, will include the contribution of alumni to enhance quality learning among students. It is believed that this campaign will be effective to get information about the school they studied, improve the educational situation by interacting between former and current students.
There are 6,340 schools in the province. Out of which there are 4,531 community schools. Out of 12 lakh 88 thousand 298 students studying in these schools, 9 lakh 25 thousand 629 students are studying in public schools. The campaign was started as the results of secondary education examination showed the need for improvement in Lumbini province.
Out of 80 thousand 227 students who participated in the SEE examination of 2080, only 31 thousand 1 hundred 3 students were able to be graded, according to which the result is only 38.72 percent. While the national average is 47.87 percent, the results of Lumbini region are weak. The situation in public schools is even worse. Out of 4,531 public schools in the state, 2,65 schools have less than 100 students. The number of these schools is 45.57 percent of the total number of schools. In the schools that were adopted by the community in the past, the involvement of the same community is becoming weaker today. campaign. Under the campaign, financial and material support will be gathered to bring the education-deprived classes into the mainstream.
