Social Development Minister of Lumbini Province Janmjay Timilsina has said that emphasis should be placed on quality and technology-friendly education. He said that for that, the current education system should be reformed.
Inaugurating the 5th Siyari Educational Festival and President's Running Shield competition which started in Siyari Rural Municipality of Rupandehi, Minister Timilsina said that the Lumbini Provincial Government has worked in a planned manner for the improvement of the education sector.

33 schools including 25 community schools, 6 institutional schools and 2 madrassas within the village will participate in the competition, which will be held until the 12th of January. .
