The independent student unions of campuses under Tribhuvan University have also drawn attention to merit-based appointments in the university. Shyamraj Ojha, president of Swaviyu Terri University Campus, issued a statement and said that the appointment will be countered based on merit.
Swaviyu has also requested the vice-chancellor, rector and registrar of the university to go ahead with the appointment process by making public the marks obtained in the merit in a transparent manner . Chairman Ojha has also requested not to pressurize the appointment based on merit .
Nepal Law Campus Swaviyu has also appealed to end the political participation and advance the appointment on the basis of merit . President Vishnu Dhungel issued a statement and opposed the tendency of appointing his workers by opposing meritocracy.
"It is a shame that party leaders and workers who bring meritocracy into controversy when the interests of political parties do not meet are shameful," the statement said.
