Tribhuvan University has appointed the co-examination controllers of the Examination Control Office on the basis of merit by competing among the applicants. Vice-Chancellor Kesharjung Baral has appointed 6 co-examination controllers in the central office and regional office.
Baral said that the appointment was made on the basis of merit among those recommended by the selection and recommendation committee. The committee recommended 18 names of 3/3 people in each office. Vice-Chancellor's Office has informed that Suryanath Kulauni and Dawa Sherpa have been appointed as Joint Controllers of Examinations at Balkhu.
Similarly, Laxman Pokharel in Nepalgunj, Ramhit Yadav in Madhes Pradesh, Dilliram Prasain in Biratnagar and Ramnath Neupane in Pokhara have been appointed as regional offices.
Trivi had invited applications for the vacant co-examination controller last August. 62 people applied for 6 posts . The University has issued regulations for the appointment of Dean, Director, Controller of Examinations, Co-Controller, Campus Head etc. In the
regulation, there is a provision to recommend the names of 3 people among the applicants with personal details, action plan, thinking paper and to appoint 1 person from among them. There has been a delay in appointing officials after completing the said process. Vacant deans have not been appointed since last June. The Vice-Chancellor's Office has informed that the recommendation committee has recommended the candidates for the vacant posts including Dean, Campus Head, etc.
