Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the US ends its attacks. In addition, the IRGC has warned that other regional oil and gas export routes linked to US interests may also be targeted.

The US-Iran conflict that has been ongoing since late February has seriously affected oil and gas transportation from the Gulf region. In particular, the disruption of the Strait of Hormuz, which is considered a vital route for global energy supplies, has raised concerns in the international energy market.

According to Iranian state television IRIB, the IRGC has attacked US military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait in response to the US attack.

It has also warned that maritime energy routes related to US economic and strategic interests may be further at risk.

In a statement issued by the IRGC, it accused the US of trying to influence the global oil and gas supply chain through its maritime activities, which could result in the disruption of other energy export routes used by US allies.

However, no details were released on which routes could be affected.

The statement also warned that “oil and gas exports from this region will be for everyone or for no one.” The IRGC has made it clear that its retaliatory actions will continue and that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the US stops the attack.
