At least 36 civilians have been killed in airstrikes by the Pakistani military in Afghanistan. Afghan officials say more than 160 civilians have been injured.

Pakistan carried out airstrikes in three areas of Afghanistan on Sunday night. The attacks were in Paktia, Paktika and Kunar provinces, Pakistan's Information Minister Ataullah Tarar said. He also claimed that such attacks were carried out in response to several attacks by armed groups from Afghanistan in his country.

Just a few days ago, an attack targeted the regional headquarters of Pakistan's paramilitary force Rangers in Karachi. Three soldiers were killed in the incident.

Similarly, Pakistani security forces killed three attackers and arrested another attacker who was injured. The Pakistani military has been claiming that the attackers were Afghan nationals.

Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a splinter group of the Pakistani Taliban (TTP), claimed responsibility for the Karachi attack. Pakistan accuses the Afghan Taliban government of supporting the TTP, which is banned in Pakistan. However, Afghanistan has denied this.

Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Afghan Taliban government, said at least 36 civilians were killed in the attack on Sunday night.

He condemned the act, saying that Pakistan has brutally killed civilians in its country. He said  The Pakistani army targeted a house in the Chamkani district of Paktia province.  In which an elderly man and a child were killed and other family members were injured.

When local residents gathered to rescue the injured, the same area was attacked again and at least 28 villagers were killed. He said that 158 people were injured in this incident.

According to him, six people, including women and children, were killed when another house was attacked in a village in the Zian district of Paktia province. Similarly, a civilian house was also attacked in Kunar province.  Although there were no human casualties, about 30 livestock were killed.

Pakistan had also attacked Afghanistan three weeks ago. On February 21, Pakistan declared open war on Afghanistan. Despite international efforts to end the war,  they have not been successful.  In April, both sides sat down at the negotiating table under the mediation of China. But despite that, the war did not end.
