Despite a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah declared on April 17, daily attacks from both sides have continued. The latest incidents suggest that tensions have not eased since the ceasefire.

On Wednesday night, the Israeli Air Force claimed to have killed a senior Hezbollah military officer in an attack on a southern suburb of Beirut. It was the first attack near the capital since the ceasefire.

The two attacks on Saturday took place on a highway connecting Beirut with the southern port city of Sidon, where several people were injured. Another attack occurred on a road leading to the Chouf region in Lebanon, killing three people. Another airstrike on the southern village of Saksakiyeh killed at least seven people and wounded 15, the Lebanese Health Ministry said.

Meanwhile, attacks were also reported in the Burj Rahal and Maifadoun areas of southern Lebanon, causing further casualties.
