The US-Israeli-Iran war has been going on for 19 days. On the 19th day, Iran's security chief Ali Larijani and his son were killed in an Israeli attack. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has confirmed this.
The IRGC has since fired more than 100 missiles at Tel Aviv, the Israeli capital. Iran has said that the attack was carried out in revenge for the killing of Larijani and his son, commander of the Basij paramilitary force Gholamreza Soleimani.
Similarly, Iran claims that Israel's strong defense system could not stop the attack. Meanwhile, Israel has said that a woman was killed by missile fragments.
Israel has released a video of the attack on the Basij force. In the video released by the Israeli army IDF, the scene of the attack on the Basij paramilitary address can be seen. Commander Gholamreza Soleimani was killed in the attack.
The Basij Force is a volunteer force in Iran. It acts as a police and army when needed. The Israeli army has warned that it will hunt down and eliminate Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. Speaking to reporters, army spokesman Effie Defrin said that Mojtaba Khamenei has rarely been seen in public and not much is known about him. But Defrin said that wherever he is, he will be hunted down and eliminated.
Meanwhile, more than a dozen people have been killed in Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon. The Israeli army targeted the town of Al-Aqeebiya in the Saida district. The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that six people were killed in the attack in the capital Beirut. 11 people were killed and nine were injured in the attacks in the south and east.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that no enemy countries would be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. He said that since this route belongs to Iran, enemy countries will not be allowed to go near it. He also said that new rules will be made for the operation of the Strait of Hormuz even after the end of the war.
