The US embassies in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have been closed.
The embassy has been closed until further notice due to regional tensions. "We have suspended all routine and emergency consular visits. We will be in touch when the embassy resumes normal operations," the US Embassy in Kuwait posted on social media.
An American worker was killed in an Iranian attack on a Kuwaiti port on Sunday. The US military's CENTCOM announced on Monday afternoon that the death toll had risen to six.
Iran also attacked the US embassy in Saudi Arabia. The embassy said that embassy services were suspended until further notice after Iran's drone strike.
