At least 18 people were killed and 20 injured in an explosion at a factory in Nagpur, in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, on Sunday.
Rescue operations are underway, officials said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed "deep sorrow" over the accident and wished the injured a speedy recovery. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also called the accident on the expressway "extremely unfortunate and tragic."
