At least 21 people have been killed in an Israeli military strike in the Palestinian Gaza Strip since early morning, Al Jazeera reported. Most of the dead were women and children.
The deaths included five children, including a 10-day-old and a 5-month-old baby, seven women and a health worker, National Public Radio (NPR) confirmed to the AP through various hospital sources.
Israel had been attacking Tufah and Jetau since early morning. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the wounded would be evacuated through the Rafah crossing soon.

An Israeli military official told the AP on condition of anonymity that the offensive could continue for a long time. Despite a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel in October, Israel has not stopped attacking Gaza.
The Gaza-based Ministry of Health has reported that 71,800 Palestinians have lost their lives since the war began in October 2023.
