Three people were killed when a training plane crashed near the city of Osrk in Russia's Orenburg region on Monday.

The crash occurred at 12:51 p.m. local time. According to regional authorities, the deceased were two students from the St. Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation and an instructor. 

The plane was on a training flight at the time of the crash. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue teams said there was no fire at the crash site. 

Local law enforcement agencies have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
