At least five people were killed and several others injured when Russia launched a drone attack on a passenger train in the northeastern Kharkiv region of Ukraine on Tuesday.
According to local authorities, more than 200 passengers were on the train. One of the train carriages was attacked by a drone, while two others exploded near the train. There were 18 people on board, local authorities said. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the incident. He called the attack on civilians an act of "terrorism."
Russia has not commented on the attack. In recent days, Russia has been using drones and missiles to target energy and transport infrastructure. The Russian attack in Ukraine has caused power outages in many places as power plants have been damaged. Heating systems have broken down in winter, making life difficult.
