The longest shutdown in US history has ended with President Donald Trump signing the budget bill.

Trump signed the bill into law within two hours of its passage by the House. The shutdown in the United States lasted 43 days. The government has been shut down for the past two days. Nearly 1.4 million federal employees have not received their salaries, and services have been affected. Food assistance programs have been affected, and domestic flights have been cut. With my signature, the federal government will now resume its normal operations. Our administration will play a role in reducing people's daily expenses, restoring public safety, boosting our economy, and making America accessible to all Americans, Trump said.
