Zen-G demonstrations also began in Peru

This demonstration was organized by the "Generation G" youth group. They raised their voices against organized crime, corruption in public office and the recently implemented pension fund legislation.

"Our country's democracy has become weaker than before," says Gladys, a protester, "and the situation is deteriorating due to fear and extortion."

About 500 people gathered in the center of the city . There was a clash when they were trying to move towards the executive branch and the parliament building amid the heavy presence of the police. Selene Amasifuene, who participated in the demonstration, said, "Parliament has no credibility." It has lost the support of the people. It has pushed the country towards destruction.'

A journalist and a cameraman of the local radio station "Axitosa" were injured by police bullets, while at least three police officers were injured, the police said.

President Dina Bolluarte's popularity has plummeted, her term is set to expire next year. As the incidents of crime and extortion increase, the public has become dissatisfied .  They consider the government and the right-wing majority parliament as corrupt bodies.

Just this week, Parliament passed a controversial law. It has been arranged that the youth must participate in the private pension fund. It has been rejected by unemployed and temporary employed youth.

As in Nepal, it has been seen that in Peru, Gen G generation is challenging the government by taking to the streets against the system and injustice. The international media has published the news saying that Gen-G exhibition has started in Peru after Nepal.
