13 people were killed and 31 were injured in an explosion that occurred after a rally of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) in Quetta, Pakistan.
Zaman Baloch, who was injured, said that a powerful explosion suddenly occurred while he was waiting for his friend at some distance from the meeting place after the meeting.
According to of BBC Urdu, after the explosion, many people fell on the ground and they heard screams everywhere. Balochistan National Party's Central Information Secretary Agha Baloch said the blast took place near Nawab Niaz Zehri's vehicle. Some security personnel were also killed in the explosion.
The state government has ordered security agencies to investigate the incident. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti condemned the incident and said that the blast was an "effective act of anti-humanity". He said, "This barbarity of terrorists will be stopped at any cost."
