According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched a large-scale air attack on Ukraine last night, firing 85 suicide drones and one "Iskander-M" type ballistic missile. These attacks began in the evening of August 15 and continued throughout the night of the 16th.

According to Ukraine, four front-line areas were targeted, including the capital, Kiev. Ukrainian Air Defense said that it managed to shoot down 61 drones.

This attack took place on the same day, on which the important talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American President Donald Trump were completed in Alaska, USA. However, no concrete agreement could be reached on the issue of ending the war in Ukraine.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine started in February 2022 has not been stopped and thousands of people have died. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has not yet given any response after the talks.
