Gaza's civil defense agency said at least 10 people, including civilians waiting for help, were killed in an Israeli attack on Gaza on Saturday.

At least six people were killed and 30 wounded after Israeli forces attacked civilians gathered near an aid center in central Gaza, AFP reported, citing civil security spokesman Mahmoud Bash. He said that some people were killed when Israel attacked the areas of central Gaza.

It is reported that thousands of Gazans gather daily for aid at food distribution centers, including those run by the US- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.  In recent times, the daily attacks by the Israeli army targeting people waiting for help are killing them.

Israeli restrictions on the entry of supplies into Gaza since the start of the war have led to shortages of essential supplies, including food, medicine and fuel.

On Friday, the Israeli Security Council approved Prime Minister Netanyahu's plan to occupy Gaza City.

After it caused a wave of outrage across the world  In a post on social media, Netanyahu said that Israel is not trying to occupy Gaza, but to liberate Gaza from Hamas.

Israel is facing increasing pressure to bring the region's more than two million people back from famine and secure a ceasefire by freeing people held hostage by Palestinian militants.
