Hamas has rejected Israel's demand for a cease-fire in Gaza. Hamas says that they are not ready to lay down their arms until a sovereign Palestinian state is established.

Recently, in response to the comments made by Steve Witkoff, one of the former ambassadors of US President Donald Trump, that Hamas has shown a desire to lay down its arms, the terrorist organization Hamas has said that such a condition of Israel cannot be accepted.

Israel has advanced the disarmament of Hamas as a major condition for ending the war in Gaza.  The ongoing indirect talks between Israel and Hamas on a ceasefire and the release of hostages were also disrupted last week.

After some western countries, including France and Canada, announced their plan to recognize the Palestinian state, the Arab governments have been asking Hamas to give up its weapons and give up control of Gaza. The UK has said that it will do so if Israel does not accept any of its conditions until September.

The terrorist organization Hamas has issued a statement saying, "Until the establishment of an independent and fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, our 'rebellion and arms' rights cannot be given up." Similarly, Hamas released a video of a hostage on Saturday. After the video of the hostage named Amyatar David was released, his  The family has alleged that they were not even given proper food in the tunnel and were tortured.

After Hamas released the video of him in a dark tunnel in a weak and unclothed condition, the family issued a statement and requested the government to rescue him.

The family has accused Hamas of starving him and using him for propaganda. Also, the family has appealed to the Israeli government and the US to take all possible measures to save his life.
