Five people were killed in shootings in two places in America

At least five people were killed in shootings in two different areas of the United States on Monday.

Two people have died in a shooting in Manhattan, New York City. According to the AP news agency, the hostage-taker who opened fire on an office building in Manhattan was also killed. 

New York City Mayor Eric Adams posted on social media and said that an investigation is underway against an active shooter in Midtown. People in the area have been requested to stay indoors and take safety precautions. 

Similarly, on Monday, at least three people were killed and three others were injured in a shooting outside a casino in Nawada. According to the report of the New York Post, this incident happened at around 7:25 in the morning in the valet parking area of the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno. 

The police have detained the suspect. Two policemen were also injured in the incident. The condition of some of the injured is said to be serious.
