At least 12 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, according to the National News Agency (NNA), the official news agency of Lebanon. The Israeli military has confirmed that it struck a target of the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. Seven of the dead are Syrians. Eight people were injured in the attack.

The Israeli military issued a statement saying it carried out "air strikes" against "Hezbollah's Redwan Force". The Israeli military claimed that the attack targeted training centers for "planning and executing terrorist attacks". However, the Lebanese media claimed that an airstrike was carried out on a camp for displaced people from Syria in Wadi Farah in the northern Bekaa Valley and 12 people were killed.

Despite a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah in November, Israeli attacks continue. According to the ceasefire agreement, Hezbollah was to limit its fighters to the north of the Litani River and Israel was to withdraw its forces from locations other than five strategic locations.
