At least 12 people were killed in an airstrike by Israel in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, according to the National News Agency (NNA), the official news agency of Lebanon.
The Israeli army has confirmed that it struck the target of the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. Seven of the dead are Syrian. Eight people were injured in the attack.
The Israeli army has issued a statement stating that an "air strike" was carried out against "Hezbollah's Redwan Force". The Israeli military claimed that the attack targeted training centers for "planning and executing terrorist attacks". However, the Lebanese media claimed that 12 people were killed in an airstrike on a camp for refugees from Syria in Wadi Farah in the northern Bekaa Valley.
