Fires have spread across Europe due to high temperatures, and two hundred and eighty-four people have died in Portugal due to high temperatures.

After the fire spread to Portugal, Greece, France, Spain and some parts of Turkey connected to Europe, firefighting helicopters and ships are raining water . But the fire is still not under control.

In Portugal, the highest temperature ever reached 46.6 degrees Celsius and 284 people died, according to the General Directorate of Health (DGS).

In Marseille, the second largest city of France, hundreds of houses have been burnt by the fire that has spread since Wednesday morning. TF 1 News mentioned that there were seven hundred fire fighters, fire fighting helicopters and fire extinguishing gas and water jets from the ship but could not be controlled.

Authorities have moved hundreds of citizens to safer places. Locals have expressed concern that there is not enough permanent housing in the city.

At least 10 people have been injured in a fire in the southern province of Aude, including five civilians and five firefighters. Highway 9 is partially closed due to the fire.

Fires raging near the southern French port city have grounded flights at Marseille airport, local authorities said on Tuesday.

According to the authorities, the strong wind blowing at a rate of about 65 km per hour and the rough ground hindered the firefighters.

The French Meteorological Service said France has also put War and Vaucluse on the red list of potential forest fires.

Similarly, Spanish authorities have put more than 18,000 residents in northeastern Tarragona province under lockdown to protect them from wildfires. An emergency military unit has been set up since Tuesday morning to help the fire control personnel in the area.

'Since midnight, firefighters have been working to extinguish the blaze amid winds of up to 90 kilometers per hour,' said Catalonia's regional fire service.

Spain is on high alert as temperatures soar. On July 1, two people died in a fire in the Catalonia region of Tarragona.

After a sudden change in the weather in Hungary, Monday's storm caused great damage. The wind uprooted and felled the trees . Power lines are down. Rail transport has been damaged. 1 lakh 50 thousand people have lost electricity in their homes.

Experts have said that climate change may be the cause of this change in weather and fires.
