Iranian President Massoud Pezheshkian has issued an order to implement a law to suspend the country's cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Constitutional Council spokesman Hadi Tahan Nazif called for the suspension of cooperation with the agency until Iran's sovereignty, territorial integrity and the safety of its nuclear facilities and scientists are fully guaranteed.
Pezheshkian issued the order in a letter to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, the Iranian Foreign Ministry and the Supreme National Security Council on Tuesday.
The law, passed by the Iranian Parliament last Wednesday and approved by the Constitutional Council the next day, was implemented due to the violation of Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity by the United States and Israel, as well as attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities.
On June 13, Israel carried out massive airstrikes on several areas, including Iran's nuclear and military sites. In which senior commanders, nuclear scientists and many civilians were killed.
Iran responded to several missile and drone attacks on Israel. On June 22, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States had carried out airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites - Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan.
In response, Iran carried out missile attacks on the American Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. After 12 days of fighting, a ceasefire was signed between Iran and Israel on June 24.
