Amid growing tension between Israel and Iran, the 51st meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was held in Istanbul.
On the agenda of the summit held under the theme of OIC in a changing world, the recent Israeli attacks on Iran and the security challenges posed by these developments for the region were discussed.
During his inaugural address, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan strongly condemned Israel's recent attack on Iran and its extensive military operations in the region. In the
program, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Israel has become a problem in the region. He said that this is not the problem of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen or Iran, but it is clearly the problem of Israel.
More than 35 foreign ministers participated in the two-day meeting. which included Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and five deputy ministers.
