The writ against President Donald Trump's deployment of the National Guard in Los Angeles has been dismissed by the court. The court said that the right to deploy and control the National Guard remains vested in the President. California Governor Gavin Newsom has been saying that the President's move to mobilize the National Guard is unfair.

Trump mobilized 2,000 National Guard soldiers after protests in Los Angeles against the US administration's immigration policy. California Governor Gavin Newsom strongly opposed the mobilization of the National Guard, calling it "illegal" and "immoral". Newsom commented that the deployment of National Guard troops was "reckless" and "an insult to our soldiers," saying, "This is a military deployment against our own countrymen to fulfill the distorted fantasy of a dictatorial president, not for public safety."

The court stated that the President has the right to protect federal employees and property, stating that there is no obstacle to the legal right to call out the National Guard. After the verdict, President Trump has written on social media that if the state or local police cannot work for any reason, they will provide security, and this matter is not only about Gavin (Governor Gavin Newsom), but about the whole of America, the state and the people. Congratulating the court decision, he wrote, 'Tonight America is proud to and with you.'

In the 38-page long verdict, the judges also mentioned that President Trump cannot be outside of judicial review . Governor Newsom commented on social media X that Trump is not a king and that he is not above the law.

During the Trump administration's immigration policy implementation phase, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) began raiding the residences of undocumented immigrants living in Los Angeles, especially immigrants from South American countries.
