Seven people were killed in a helicopter crash in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district on Sunday morning.
The helicopter was carrying 6 adults and an infant along with the driver. It is said that the helicopter crashed due to sudden bad weather.
SDRF of Uttarakhand has confirmed that seven people died in the accident. District Tourism Officer and Nodal Heli Service Rahul Chaubey said, "A helicopter was reported missing this morning. A search was started as soon as the information was received.
According to the primary information, the helicopter of Aryan Aviation was bringing the passengers back to Guptkashi base from Kedarnath Dham. Due to the sudden bad weather in the gorge, the helicopter had an accident while trying to get out of the gorge.
According to him, there were five passengers and an infant in this helicopter besides the driver.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the accident. He has written in X, "Finally sad news has been received that a helicopter has crashed in Rudraprayag district."
