It has been confirmed that 204 people died in an Air India plane crash near Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat.
While informing about the Air India AI-171 plane crash that took off from Ahmedabad to London, Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik has informed that 204 dead bodies have been recovered.
In addition, the police also said that the treatment of 41 people who were injured in the accident is continuing.

According to Air India, there were 242 passengers on the plane that crashed. The ship was being flown by Captain Sumeet Sabharwal and First Officer Clive Kunder. Captain Savarwal has 8,200 hours of experience and co-pilot Kundar has 1,100 hours of experience, according to the Indian media citing the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of India.
Air India has informed through X that there are 242 people on board including the cabin crew. Of which there were 2 pilots, 10 cabin crew members and 230 passengers. Out of which 169 are Indian passengers. Similarly, Air India said that there are 53 passengers from the UK, 7 passengers from Portugal and 1 passenger from Canada.
According to the Indian media, former Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani is also on board the ship.
