Elon Musk's announcement that he will leave the Trump administration immediately

Elon Musk, the world's richest billionaire, has announced that he has left the Trump administration. In January of this year, with Donald Trump assuming power, he entered the White House as a 'special government employee'. Throughout 2024, Musk had invested hundreds of millions of US dollars to elect Trump as president and stood together on every front.

A senior official of the White House has confirmed that Musk's exit will be immediate, according to Reuters. Musk has also announced the end of his responsibility in the Trump government by posting on his own social network X. He also thanked Trump for the opportunity to work on his mission to cut unnecessary spending in various agencies of the US government.

Musk, who participated in the Trump government with the announcement of saving about 20 trillion US dollars in various government agencies, reduced that amount to 1 trillion 50 billion US dollars within 2 months. For this, Trump entrusted him with the leadership of the special department "Dodge" to increase the effectiveness of the American government.

Musk, who was seen everywhere at the beginning of the Trump administration, has not been seen in public much in the last one month. Now he was giving messages in the style of returning to work day and night in his own business . Due to Musk's working style, after one after the other American leaders, Trump himself gave a public statement that Musk will leave the government at the end of March.

Trump has not mentioned Musk's name in any truth social post for almost a month. The AP has mentioned that even the Republican Party has started to distance itself from Musk after he started to look extremely unpopular for the 2026 midterm elections.

Similarly, it is said in the news of Politico that a senior official of the Trump government scolded him in front of Trump after Musk publicly expressed his displeasure on some issues including Trump's tariffs and AI policy. Musk, who failed to win the Republican candidate in an election in the US state of Wisconsin despite spending good money, has now announced a major cut in his political donations.

Dozens of questions were raised about the transparency and accountability that he himself said about Musk, who entered his government responsibility with great enthusiasm for about 100 days. During this hundred days, he suffered a serious decline in his popularity . Even his big companies like Tesla have reached the position of having to struggle in many markets of the world .

Musk's working style and speech were not liked by the public along with both parties of America. Despite Musk's departure, Dodge will continue with new leadership and structure, Trump's chief secretary has confirmed. But analysts predict that Dodge's central role under Musk will automatically shrink.

Tesla's profit has fallen by 71 percent and the share price has fallen by 33 percent. The New York Times analyzes that Trump and his key aides have begun to consider him a political burden and that his exit was dull.
