US President Donald Trump has accused Beijing of withdrawing from the Boeing deal, and the White House has said that the power is now in China's hands to decide whether or not to come to the negotiating table on trade issues.

The ball is in China's court. China should make a deal with us. We don't have to deal with them," Trump's press secretary Carolyn Levitt said in a statement.

"There is no difference between China and any other country, the difference is that in terms of geography, some are big and some are small," she said.

Leavitt's comment came after Trump said that China had backed out of a major contract with the American aviation company Boeing.

After a Bloomberg news report, Beijing ordered airlines not to take further deliveries of Boeing Company jets.
