The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has said that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) wants to help in the reconstruction of Syria.
President Nahyan said in a meeting with the interim leader of Syria Ahmed al-Shara in Abu Dhabi on Sunday that the UAE wants to help in the reconstruction of Syria.
Syria to face the challenges of the transitional phase and to rebuild Syria, reports the Left News Agency.
Syrian Foreign Minister Asad al-Shaibani said after the meeting with Shaara, "an important achievement has been achieved today."
In a post on social network X, Shaibani informed about areas of investment, revival of air traffic, and strengthening of bilateral relations in all areas.
After leading the film-style attack that ousted long-time ruler Bashar al-Assad last December after a decade-long civil war, Shara has reached out to his country for cooperation with the Gulf states.
But a few days after the rebels overthrew Assad, UAE presidential adviser Anwar Gargash said the government felt "very concerned" about the Islamist involvement of Syria's new rulers.
According to the Syrian government news agency SANA, last January, Shara had a phone conversation with the president of the UAE about strengthening relations.
