Tens of thousands of Yemenis have taken out a mass rally in Sana'a, the capital of Yemen, against the American air strikes in Yemen and Israel's attack on Gaza.
Houthi leader Abdulmalik al-Houthi, who controls most of northern Yemen, called the rally. According to local residents and Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV, the rally was held in Al-Sabeen Square in central Sana'a hours after the US military carried out 11 airstrikes on several locations in and around the city.
Demonstrators carried the flags of Yemen and Palestine during the rally. They shouted slogans condemning the American air strikes. They also called on the international community to end the war on Gaza and pressure Israel to allow much-needed food and medicine into the region.
In Yemen, more than 107 Yemeni civilians have been killed in US airstrikes in the capital Sana'a and several other northern provinces since mid-March, according to Houthi-controlled health officials. Most of them are children and women and more than 223 have been injured.
